Dear Sir,
We should be obliged if you would clarify the 3econd paragraph of your letter of 10th August and state whether carriage charges for goods dispatched by rail must e borne by the consignee even when the consignment is twenty cases or over.
Although it is our intention to order in bulk once every three months, and thereby take advantage of your best terms, it may not always be possible to judge our requirements down to the last few cases and we may occasionally have to supplement the quarterly order delivered by you with a smaller order to be dispatched  by rail. Your representative recently assured us that provided we ordered twenty cases, we should not have to pay carriage. Nevertheless, we wish to make absolutely sure since any adverse terms would severely limit the quantities involved in these
supplementary orders.
We look forward to receiving your prompt clarification of the above.

Yours faithfully,
MERRY BROS LTD
